Final Reflection

I thought this class was very helpful. It exposed me to things I would plan on someday using in my own classroom such as the blogs, podcasts, videos, and google earth. I also learned that google has so much more to offer than just being a search engine. This class let me think of education from a different stand point. Throughout the class I found myself saying I could do a lesson based around this. Or this piece of technology would totally compliment this kind of a lesson. I think it is important to expose children to technology in today's society and it is important that us teachers are educated about it ourselves and can teach our students to do it safely! Nancy I thought you did a great job! Thanks for the fun new ideas!

What Can't Google Do?

Google is so versatile from  email, google docs, and now google earth. I think this is a cool way for kids to see not only what a place looks like from a satellite view but also people can go in and tag pictures of their experience with different places and students will also be allowed to see those photos. All around google earth is just a cool feature that students are privileged to use. I love it. I am thinking about using it for my final project as a spin off from The Amazing Race :) it will be cool and most of all fun!
